Information technology operations, or IT operations, are the set of all processes and services that are both provisioned by an IT staff to their internal or external clients and used by themselves, to run themselves as a business. It involves monitoring and controlling the IT services and their underlying infrastructure, the fulfilling of user requests, resolving service failures, fixing problems, as well as carrying out routine operational tasks. The coordination and execution of activities that enable the ongoing management and operation of products or services in the computing environment
