Hybrid Data Data primarily intended for human consumption but conforming, or partly conforming, to a data structure standard is hybrid data. Email is a prime example: it is intended to be read by people but includes headers (“From”, “To”, etc.) that enable machine processing. In most cases, the structured data is metadata (see Structure Standards) describing the content that is for human consumption.
