Expect and Require Perfection is the ESDC culture in which detail and quality prevail over the review of ideas, concepts and insights. To defeat this barrier, we need to promote a culture of delivering just enough architecture (e.g. Minimum Viable Architecture) that achieves value and business outcomes, as well as embracing the benefit, experience and learning that comes from experimentation. Another possible approach is the adoption of the 80/20 rule, where 80 percent of value is achieved with 20 percent of the total allocated time. The hardest 20 percent of value takes 80 percent of the time.
