Data Warehouse The Common Warehouse Metamodel (CWM™)11 is a standard of the Object Management Group® (OMG®)12 that defines a specification for modeling metadata for relational, non-relational, multi-dimensional, and most other objects found in a data warehousing environment. It enables interchange of metadata, including lineage metadata, between data warehouse tools and repositories.
